Dynasty Hoysala Empire rules the south-western Karnataka between 11 and 13 centuries. On the 12 th century after the accession to the throne of King Vishnu Vardan, the rulers have built some remarkable temples, concentrated mainly in three places: Belur and Halebid, near the modern city of Hassan, and Somnathpur near Mysore. What at first glance, and at a distance, temples Hoysaly seem modest buildings, squat and concise style. Reach there by Trains From Cuttack.
