ccSvcHst.exe application error: The memory could not be read
February 20th, 2010 by admin
Are you facing the ccsvchost exe error: “The instruction at <memory location> referenced memory at <memory location>. The memory could not be read”? You might be getting the error in a pop up window every 10 to 20 minutes. This ccSvcHst.exe error is related to Symantec Norton
As a temporary solution to it: go to Start>Run and type in services.msc. Then find the Norton internet Security and double-click on it. Thereafter, go into the Recovery Tab in the dialogue and set all the three responses to “Restart the Service.”
For now, until Symantec sort the ccSvcHst.exe out, this is a handy solution so you don’t have to restart your PC to get Norton running again.
