The A To Z Of Golf Terminology
February 29th, 2008 by admin
When you are learning to do anything new in life it is always a good idea to learn the language of the activity you are involved in and, in the case of golf, this mean learning some golf terminology. There are literally hundreds of golf terms, many of which will be very familiar and others which you may have come across before or which might have a meaning which surprises you. Here is one term which is not always well understood.
Abnormal Ground Conditions: Not surprisingly an abnormal ground condition is used to refer to any casual water on the course or ground which is under repair. Less commonly understood however is the fact that it also refers to a cast or runway on the golf course which has been made by some form of burrowing animal, a reptile or a bird.
