Southern Illinois secret
March 30th, 2008 by admin
I found some southern Illinois attractions the other day that I don’t think are advertised anywhere. It was a pair of small lakes that were connected by a small river, one just big enough to get a small boat through. One lake was full of large mouth bass and the other was full of walleye. Why the two species never seemed to travel the river to the other lake is a mystery to me. It was a great experience though, you could fish for two entirely separate fish just by traveling a hundred yards away. I think the locals want to keep it private though.
