When applying for a Debt Consolidation, take some time and do some deep research to find the right company.  Not all the debt consolidation companies are reputable.  The first step is to make sure the company is licensed and check with the Better Business Bureau to make sure there are no unresolved complaints.  You can find a lot of information from Internet.    There are so many people who have made their payments on time each month, only to find that unfortunately the money was not paid out to their creditors.  When this happens, you’ll have to renegotiate the terms.  Furthermore, it is very difficult to get your money back.
