What is Plantar Fasciitis?

June 18th, 2010 by admin

There are numerous soft tissue problems that can affect the heel of the feet. The commonest one is a complaint often known as plantar fasciitis. This is a strain from the long plantar fascia that hold up the mid-foot of the foot. Something that puts load on the mid-foot will probably tension this plantar fascia and lead to the condition. The best and most essential therapy for this is to use something that reduces the strain in the ligament. This includes strategies like strapping and feet orthoses in addition to reducing activity levels. Almost every other methods are not necessarily targeted at reducing stress, but they are targeted at assisting the injury to recover.
