High Volume of Traffic in the San Diego College Area

June 18th, 2009 by admin

As with almost all popular universities, the area around San Diego State University becomes very crowded during the school year.  This area, which is a neighborhood called College Area, is located on a plateau that overlooks Interstate 8.  There are freeway ramps located on the main street in College Area, College Avenue, that allow people to get to the university and back, however, these ramps are extremely crowded during the school year.  Recently a connection between the San Diego Trolley to an underground station on the San Diego State University grounds.  This connection has helped reduce the amount of traffic in the area, but there is still a large amount of traffic in the area during the school year due to the university’s popularity.
