What types of dogs make good gaurd dogs?

Guard dogs are essentially trained dogs. All kinds of dogs can be trained to be guard dogs but some of the smaller dogs are not really effective at this as they cannot physically deter a burglar. They can however become a great sound alarm for when an intruder comes into your house unannounced. These dogs however can end up barking at every car passing or sound they don’t like. It is best to use a dog like a German Shepard. Taking Care of a Puppy that you want to become a guard dog you should start early in training them.
