Electrical Safety And Pat Testing
May 14th, 2008 by admin
Electrical safety in the workplace is hugely important as even non-fatal electrical shocks can cause severe and even permanent injury. Shocks from faulty equipment can often lead to other accidents such as workers falling from ladders because of the shock they sustained.
But, it is not only those workers who are actually using electricity that may be at risk. Electrical installations which have been allowed to deteriorate into a dangerous state or faulty electrical appliances which have not being subject to pat testing can lead to shock or even fire. However, most of these common accidents can be avoided by simple planning and taking precautionary advice from the Health and Safety Executive.
