Are You an Unemployed North Carolina Resident? You Can Still Have Health Insurance!

Even if you are out of work, you can still enjoy the advantages of having health insurance. North Carolina health insurance is available for unemployed residents, under certain circumstances. For instance, if you have just been laid off, you can have a continuation of the health plan you have contributed to, for a period of time.
If you did not have such a plan before and you still need health insurance, contact the department of insurance in North Carolina. They will inform you if you qualify for assistance from the state, or if there are any affordable plans you can pay for.
