The main problem with the evaluation of sell and rent back property scheme is the fact the evaluation companies and agencies will offer home owners a smaller percentage of the real value of their properties, and this may not compare favorably with the ratio of the asking price these agencies will get if they set the property on the open market. The fact is that most agents for the sell and rent back evaluation will consider the 5% sales price reduction compared to the asking price. The best way to do the evaluation of one’s property is to use a surveyor who can give the original value. Remember what could be sold at a value now would not be the real value tomorrow.
