The use of Tea Tree Oil by Podiatrists

February 15th, 2010 by admin

In podiatrists the most interesting study is the use of tea tree oil. In today’s recent environment in which we like to look closely at the evidence for any treatment. There are numbers of podiatrists who are using tea tree oil to treat fungal infections of the toenails. But sadly the evidence is that this tea tree oil does not work for this. The European Community is even considered either banning tea tree oil or at least has it carry a warning as to its safety. In this context why are so many podiatrists using it? There are many who probably think because it is natural, it must be good. But the evidence tells us that this is not the case.
