Home treatment for head lice is always safe and effective

Using over the counter medicines as a cure to head lice is not really advisable. Would you voluntarily use a pesticide on your hair? The effects of using such anti lice medicines on your hair are synonymous to the effects of using a pesticide. Generally, these medicines are publicized to have no side effects. But in reality they do create a lot of complications like hair fall, rashes on the scalp and so on. In certain cases, these medicines have been proven to be carcinogenic. Hence, it is best to stick to home treatment for head lice and use medication only when prescribed by your physician.
