If you are suffering from high blood pressure then your doctor will almost certainly tell you to increase your level of exercise and change your diet to include more blood pressure lowering foods. In essence this means choosing foods which allow you to reduce your ‘bad’ cholesterol, limit your intake of salt and add such things as vitamin D, calcium, magnesium and potassium to your diet. One of the many excellent foods to lower blood pressure is spinach which is high in both magnesium and potassium. In addition, you might also like to think about adding similar foods such as unsalted sunflower seeds and beans.
