A Licensed Massage Therapist Using Right Strokes
March 30th, 2009 by admin
Strokes are very important in massage therapy. An unskilled, even licensed massage therapist can use wrong strokes and cause more harm than good.
There are specific strokes that need to be used for different parts of the body and for different types of massage. In dealing with tight calf muscles, the massage therapist will need to know exactly which strokes will do the job to relieve the tension to keep the person getting the massage to the most comfort and relaxing experience.
A massage therapist can use his or her forearm and elbow to apply pressure to help in certain massage techniques.
