Connected: High Performance Servers

July 24th, 2008 by admin

A server is a computer system in a network that is shared by multiple users and high performance servers ensure that there is never a period of disconnection. Servers come in all sizes from x86-based PCs to IBM mainframes. A server is just a computer that’s been selected and probably optimized to perform a specific task in service to others and it’s that task that makes all the difference. A server is designed to manage, store, send and process data 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year. Thus, servers need to be far more reliable then their desktop counterparts.

Trekking In The Himalayas To Become An MCSE

July 22nd, 2008 by admin

The Mcse Exam Path is tough enough, without having to travel to absurd lengths in order to pass it. The basic and the most important thing is the knowledge of MS systems that you must possess. So, if you have that along with thorough information of the inner workings of a computer system, then you should have no problem passing this exam. You can opt for some sites that provide you questionnaires of previous years. They have training centers at multiple locations for the candidate’s convenience. Most interestingly, one of these training institutes have a training center at the Himalayan Mountains, where they train candidates on the finer points of this exam! It’s basically a forty days retreat that costs just $3000! Any takers?

Dish Network vs Direct TV: Dish Network wins!

July 22nd, 2008 by admin

In my personal opinion, Dish Network definitely comes out on top, beating Direct TV handedly. Dish Network has fantastic picture, tons of programming, great customer service, and I have never had a problem with my receive dish. In my mind, Dish Network vs Direct TV is not a decision at all, because Dish Netowrk is so much seems almost not to be a competition at all, because Dish Network is so great. It has surpassed all my expectations by far, and I know that it will continue to be excellent. TV is a huge part of my life, and Dish Network makes watching TV a convenient, easy and pleasant activity.

Along With Cat 6 Wire, There Is Also Cat 5e Wire.

July 7th, 2008 by admin

Along with cat 6 wire, there is also cat 5e wire that can be used. Category 5e cable is an enhanced version of the cat 5 wire. It adds specifications for far end crosstalk which is an electromagnetic connectors interference introduced on UTP by close-by wires. The specifications that the cat 5e wire uses is 1000BASE-T which is a standard for gigabit Ethernet over copper wiring. It can be used in cat 5 wiring but is recommended for cat 5e and cat 6 wiring. The main drawback of the cat 5e wiring is that it does not enable longer cable distances for the Ethernet networks.

Safe software to clean your registry

July 6th, 2008 by admin

There is a need for software developers to disseminate information regarding how to clean Windows registry.  As it is now most clients have no idea on how to use this system.  Mostly, programmers and those who only take time to explore know this particular aspect of their computer.  They do not know the importance of editing their system.  Clients have no idea how to clean redundant and conflicting data.

I do understand what other programmers say that the last thing that a user should do is to tamper with the computers system.  Changing it without any idea on what you are doing can sometimes do more harm than good.  However, there is a need for its users to know this kind of thing.

Who Has Free PS3 Mobile Deals?

July 3rd, 2008 by admin

I had read on the internet that there are several cell phone companies which offer free PS3 mobile deals depending on which plan you choose. My current plan is just about up so I am looking into which carriers offer these deals. I have two sons who would love to have a Play Station 3, but their father and I feel that they are too expensive. If we could get one free with our new cell phone plan than we could give it to them for their birthdays which are 4 weeks apart. If it’s free we could even get them a game or two!

The Future is now

July 2nd, 2008 by admin

I have been thinking a lot about the future of digital signage services and design. Many advertisement companies are trying to do anything at this point to get our attention. One of the most excited things to come out of some of the latest technology is fog screens. These are projection screens made entirely out of h2o. It takes about 7 liters an hour to run. This system uses normal projectors, but instead of a traditional screen, it uses powerful little fans to turn the water into fog. The uses for these screens are virtually unlimited and I’m sure we will start seeing these pop up all over the place.
