Not Popular Enough

May 2nd, 2008 by admin

I had just moved in to a new city and I had one girlfriend who was also quite new to the city. Both of our husbands worked incredibly long hours and we were constantly looking for new ways to keep ourselves busy. One day we saw an ad for fencing gear and decided to check on studios ourselves. What a fun new pastime this could be. We finally found one location that offered classes and we were quite disturbed at the cost, location and training. If only there were more options for the fencing and it were more popular, the studio may have been more competitive in their prices. As it was, we could not afford it.

Faster Does Not Mean Longer or Straighter.

April 23rd, 2008 by admin

To improve your golf game and to start lowering your handicap get some golf swing help. If you spend some time with your swing you might begin to win on that Saturday morning game. If you read some articles, listen to some tapes, watch some pros, practice at the range, take a lesson or two, or just focus on your swing, the golf swing should begin to improve. The worst thing is to do nothing. You must focus on a better swing for a better game. Most people need to slow their swing down for starters. Faster does not mean longer or straighter. Use that as your first tip.

What has coffee makers got to do with fly fishing

April 10th, 2008 by admin

Coffee makers have nothing to do with fly fising, unless you are saying about some models, e.g. bialetti that you can bring for your fly fishing trip. However, when they decided to hold a contest for the best written article about coffee makers, and the prize is a fly fishing trip to alaska, immediately you have the connection.I was not hard up for this fly fishing trip in alaska, but writing and possibly winning something was a good idea, so I wrote a few pieces and before we all know it, I won and then was on our first trip to alaska. You never know that writing can be so "profitable"…

March 12th, 2008 by admin

People go in for used exercise equipment because they are more affordable than new ones. If you were to buy new exercise equipment, you need to shelf out several hundred dollars. Buying used will save you a lot of money as you will spend only one-third of what you would spend for buying new equipment.

The main reason why more and more people in sport divert there attention on spending their time in looking for used exercise equipment is that they are very much cheaper compared to when you buy new ones in your local sport equipment stores. Sources For Pilates Instruction

March 9th, 2008 by admin

In school we are taught that we need to study from books, later on, in adulthood, we pass to merely reading articles and newspaper columns. For Pilates instruction these sources are equally available, there are books, manuals and e-books with a wide range of information and instructions about breathing techniques, fitness enhancement, stress alleviation, posture improvement, pregnancy conditioning and general Pilates guidelines. In addition, however, there are various other alternatives: video demonstrations, CD presentations, multimedia materials, in-studio training, personal / home training and even one-on-one sessions for more extravagant clients. The most efficient method however will probably prove to be the animated lectures and live demonstrations within fitness centers.

The A To Z Of Golf Terminology

February 29th, 2008 by admin

When you are learning to do anything new in life it is always a good idea to learn the language of the activity you are involved in and, in the case of golf, this mean learning some golf terminology. There are literally hundreds of golf terms, many of which will be very familiar and others which you may have come across before or which might have a meaning which surprises you. Here is one term which is not always well understood.

Abnormal Ground Conditions: Not surprisingly an abnormal ground condition is used to refer to any casual water on the course or ground which is under repair. Less commonly understood however is the fact that it also refers to a cast or runway on the golf course which has been made by some form of burrowing animal, a reptile or a bird.

Fencing gear is useful

February 29th, 2008 by admin

Sometimes fencing is referred to as physical chess. I am convinced that fencing is simply one of the most visually beautiful sports in its depiction of grace speed and power of the human form. However, fencing is not only an exercise for the body, but also for the brain. Traditional fencing gear is really the only type of fencing which still preserves the character of a courteous and honest encounter with sharp swords between gentlemen and genteel women. The modern sport of fencing is also played at many levels, from students learning at a university to professional and Olympic competition.

I finally wizend up and got Vango Tents for my family!

February 18th, 2008 by admin

Ok, when I go camping, even though I’m roughing it, I still don’t really like to have all matter of bugs and other creepy crawlies climbing all over me in my sleep. Call me a sissy if you want, but I just can’t sleep if that’s going on, you know? Thankfully I’ve finally wizened up and bought my family Vango tents for those weekend camping trips. They are easy to pitch (takes about ten minutes) and are well designed with plenty of bug proof vents to allow constant air circulation, and a water proof PE groundsheet to ensure we don’t wake up soaked!
