No Easy Way Out

After a year of unemployment I found myself with mounting credit card debt problems. The total credit card payments I owed each month were amounting to close to a third of my monthly income at the job I finally found. I had done my best to manage my debt during the year of unemployment, in fact I never missed a payment, but that was done by creating more debt. I finally “caved in” and approached a debt settlement company to help me settle approximately $40,000 in credit card debt. Prior to going to the debt settlement company, the creditors would not work with me to reduce payments or settle the amounts that I owed because I was not late on any payments. I ended up paying approximately thirty eight cents on each dollar owed and have stayed out of debt since. The process came with a high price tag. My credit rating has suffered and has not rebounded yet even though the debt settlement process ended 6 months ago. Even though I had an excellent numeric credit rating prior to settling, my debt to income ratio was too high to qualify for more credit. Now my credit score is too low to qualify for more credit, including the low mortgage rates that the government has come out with for rewriting government backed mortgages. It was not an ideal solution or a quick fix, but I would do it again.

I know that it is going to be hard to really find the right thing for me because I am thinking of something so unique, but I am just going to keep looking until I find what I am looking for. New Kids Beds

My Childrens Beds are finally wearing out. They have had them since they were about three years old and moved out of their crib. I guess it is time for new ones. They are seventeen and fifteen, so the beds have actually lasted far longer than I thought they would. But there is no telling what kind of bed they will want now. Being much taller than me, they will probably need one of those extra long mattresses and frames. I am kind of sad to see the old beds go, they have been with us for many years, like an old friend.
