First wives club

July 2nd, 2010 by admin

I have got this “The First Wives Club” novel from abebooks, In this novel Olivia Goldsmith took us through the world of a pack of bitter ex-wives, and teaching us about the necessity of loyalty, the spirit of adventure, and the bond of sister-hood. while riddled with hilarious situations, colorful insight, and much-loved characters, is perhaps best characterized by the theme of the novel rather then the dialogue. While humorous in places, the dialogue is at times dry, without depth or insight into the characters. The insight into the characters’ motivations can pretty much only be gleaned from narrative, description, and imagery, dragging down the plot in a few places. Characters tie in quite nicely with the plot, and make up for the drag in dialogue as we learn to love them. This book is recommended.
