A book I read recently had some great tips on wedding photography.  It said that regardless of whether you’re a Chicago wedding photographer or a traditionalist, you must be discrete during the ceremony.  Nobody wants to hear the clicking of a large format camera or see a blinding flash as the couple exchange vows.  It’s better by far to work from a distance with a tripod  mounted 35 mm camera and use available light.  Work quietly and unobserved and try to be invisible.  Some of the events you will need to cover also include the bridesmaids and flower girls entering the church.  The bride entering the church is perhaps the most important shot of the day so use these same concepts when shooting the wedding.

My elderly mother had become bored with her life and it broke my heart to see it because she had always been the life of the party. Besides being the life of the party, she was always the one looking for the next exciting thing to do but she had lost that somewhere along the line. Wanting to give that old feeling back to her I bought her a guitar and set her up on line with as site that is dedicated to learning electric guitar. She resisted because she said she was too old but once she got started, she refused to put the guitar down.

Once we started interviewing new york city wedding photography pros, we knew we had our work cut out for us. Some were great, some were awful.

When we eventually met the one who would end up being our wedding photographer, we knew it instantly, even before the interview. The phone call, which was kind of a pre interview, was professional and full of good energy. When we arrived that weekend to see her work, a 1940’s jazz record was spinning Miles Davis in the background, and an art collection filled her walls. This artist had carefully showed us albums that were similar in style to our own wedding venue, where she had shot before. We had just come from an interview that same day where the photographer had showed us only albums of club weddings. We booked her on the spot.

The First Booking

Tonight was the first night that my friend was playing in a local jazz band. I of course went to the show, and I also put posters up for the show in my jazz store. My friend was awesome, he plays the best solo jazz guitar that I have ever heard. I am really proud of my friend. He is a little bit on the shy side but when he is up there with the band he really shines. I think that he fits in with this new band very well, and that they are very lucky to have him as a member.

Appreciating The Real Quality Sound of An Oud

I am neither a musician nor a big fan of any particular type of music or musical instrument. This is why it tool me by surprise when I noticed myself appreciating the real quality sound of an ethnic oud. It happened when I accidentally saw and oud being played in one website I recently visited. The sound of this particular kind of musical instrument is so amazing. It has indeed the magical touch on it and eventually mesmerized me and when I started to see that it is being played the more I appreciate its amazing rhythm. It was only then I realized I need not have to be a real musician to appreciate the sound of this musical instrument.

The Free Ares Download Makes My Like Easier

I recently discovered some new software that makes my life so much easier.  It is the Free Ares Download.  It helps me in so many ways, especially with the backing up of my computer files. All I do is basically click a button and it instantly backs up my files onto my CD so that in case anything was to happen to my computer, I would still have all my important files.  I sometimes also back the files up onto thumb drives, as well.  I also use the software to find new games for my son to play on his computer.
