Stylish Velcro Thumb Spica

When my doctor told me that I would have to wear a velcro thumb spica for the next 6 weeks to help stabilize my thumb, I was a little bit concerned. I had a major party to attend on behalf of the President, and I didn't want to have to go with a big clunky thing on my arm. But my fears were relieved when I saw how stylish it was.

Repeated Motion Over Time Causes Injury

When working in a job that requires a lot of repetitive motion, repetitive strain injury thumb can happen. This is especially true if a person does a lot of typing. If a thumb, or other body part, is overused, it can become injured over time. It usually does not happen overnight, it takes years for a repetitive motion injury to develop. Examples of this type of injury include tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and deQuervain's syndrome.
