pay off your credit cards

Once piece of advice I give to everyone in regards to fiscal responsibility is to always pay off your credit cards every month.  I know how tempting it is to just say “I’ll just pay this off next month instead since money is a little tight this month.”  Then there’s my friend who is in business for himself who’s theory for years was that he’d always make more money next month and he could pay off his debts that month.  You want to guess how well that worked?  If you guessed it didn’t work at all you’re correct.  He nearly went bankrupt with that attitude of his, but he did get things turned around and is a successful person – he’s gone a little more extreme than most people and doesn’t use credit cards at all anymore.
