Coming Up With A Restaurant Layout

There are essentially two sides to owning and operating a restaurant.  The first side is analytical and encompasses some of the more standard business practices of hiring/firing, accounting, customer care, and more.  The second side is creative and responsible for things such as food presentation, menu creation, and restaurant atmosphere/design.

 

While many people either have, or can acquire, the business skills necessary for running a restaurant, they have difficulty with more creative aspects.  In particular, designing a restaurant can be very confusing.  It may very well be easier to start by looking at some restaurant layout samples and determining the overall look and feel you’re after.  You may also want to make notes of things you particularly enjoy and things you dislike.  This may be infinitely easier than simply brainstorming a design concept all on your own.
