What Is It About Cars with Good Gas Mileage?

We’ve become used to cars that have a gas mileage of 20 miles or so – maybe even less! It’s the advance of technology, we say. The cars get more powerful, so they burn more gas. It’s natural… Is it? I mean, if technology advances, then shouldn’t the technology of gas mileage advance too? Cars with Good Gas Mileage do exist! Of course they do. You don’t have to put up with a car that guzzles gas like an alcoholic throwing back pints at a beer festival. You can have a car that gives out 40 miles to the gallon – even 50, 60 – maybe even more. The technology is there. We could all have it. I mean, why not? We don’t need big clumsy cars that need big engines just to get them going. We could have smaller, lighter cars that get us from A to B. Why not?
