The Indian tabla

Being the type of person that I am I have always enjoyed learning about different cultures and trying on some new challenges. That being said I have decided that I would like to learn how to play the Indian tabla. I love percussion instruments and this one is a real challenge. The most difficult part of all of this is finding someone who can teach me the proper way to play this instrument. I have had a hard time finding anyone who even knows what this instrument is all about. I am going to have to do some homework in order to make this goal a reality.
