1993 Grand National Disaster

July 31st, 2008 by admin

Back in 1993 the Grand National is abandoned. The mechanical recall system that controls the horse retractor fails, two false starts happen and many of the runners complete two circuits. Eisha Ness goes through first, in a grand national race that essentially wasn’t won. Because the race was abandoned the press and media went wild, blaming aintree organizer for the blunders. It only got worse when Prince Margaret decided it best to submit an official complaint to the management of the famout aintree racecourse, and a government enquiry began. Future races were controlled by a pnuematic retractors which are said to be more reliable.

I have a few tattoo designs in mind.

July 31st, 2008 by admin

I am getting my first tatoo soon. I scheduled the appointment, and I have to decide on a tattoo design before the big day arrives. I have a few tattoo designs in mind, but I am not sure which one I like the best. I have been asking my friends and family members which one they like the best. I’m trying to see which of the designs gets the most votes from the people whose opinions I value. I’m not sure that I will choose that particular design, but I just want to see what everyone thinks about the tattoo designs that I ahve picked out.

Where can I learn more about crate training puppies?

July 31st, 2008 by admin

Where can I learn more about crate training puppies? I am getting a puppy soon, and I have heard that crate training is very effective in housebreaking. I just don’t know much about it. I already purchased a crate, and I hope I bought the right one. I kept the receipt, and I haven’t taken it out of the box yet. In case I find out that I bought the wrong size, I can return it and buy the size that I need. I hope I can get more information about crate training before my puppy arrives.

What Is It About Cars with Good Gas Mileage?

July 31st, 2008 by admin

We’ve become used to cars that have a gas mileage of 20 miles or so - maybe even less! It’s the advance of technology, we say. The cars get more powerful, so they burn more gas. It’s natural… Is it? I mean, if technology advances, then shouldn’t the technology of gas mileage advance too? Cars with Good Gas Mileage do exist! Of course they do. You don’t have to put up with a car that guzzles gas like an alcoholic throwing back pints at a beer festival. You can have a car that gives out 40 miles to the gallon - even 50, 60 - maybe even more. The technology is there. We could all have it. I mean, why not? We don’t need big clumsy cars that need big engines just to get them going. We could have smaller, lighter cars that get us from A to B. Why not?

Joys to be Found in Magazine Aisle

July 30th, 2008 by admin

I was at the local newsagents last week and spent some time in the magazine section. It was amazing to me! The number of magazines was simply huge and covered a wide range of topic areas. It didn’t seem to me that there should be all of that to talk about. Interesting! There were magazines on gardening, cosmology, spirituality, religion, health, computer review and many more including mobile phone reviews. I hadn’t realised just how many "things" we have in our lives and how many different things interest us. It was fun because I too had not realized the extent of my own interests until I sat down and took a look. SMILE! It was a good time and it taught me something new about myself. Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone could learn something new about themselves as well?

Getting An Engine Running On Water

July 30th, 2008 by admin

It is an interesting fact that you can use water to power the car. You will only fetch water and fill your car with it. You will not worry about how much fuel is costing. The ordinary water in the home has been known to be a good source of fuel. Now science as made it possible to use this water to power cars.

Before you can use water as fuel, you will have to have a kit inside your engine that will turn the water into gas. The gas is called a converter and will apply the process of electrolysis to turn the water into gas. After each conversion, you can use the same gas over and over again –one reason why you may want to use water 4 gas.

Documentary baby

July 30th, 2008 by admin

From the moment a mommy finds out she’s pregnant she should start to document the process so her baby when he or she grows up they will have some interesting things to see how they came along. When I was a baby I barely even got pictures taken of me and I wish I had something to look back on. You can offer the mother to be newborn baby gift baskets that contain things they can do this with. Depending on your budget you could get her a digital camera with camcorder (mpeg) recording capabilities and other materials to write down things. This would make an excellent gift!

Discount Office Furniture Is Equal To Commercial Furniture

July 30th, 2008 by admin

Discount office furniture is often called commercial furniture as mortgages available for office improvements are levied at commercial rates of interest. Hence, it is advisable that buying office furniture should be comfortable and presentable enough to last for years. Discount office furniture just can’t be altered and replaced as regularly as we do with tissue rolls in the toilet. Rigorous planning and investment are required in building a whole office setup. The top consideration for this is budgetary constraints within the company. It will also be counterproductive to always re-arrange the chairs and tables salvaging the productive momentum of workers. Another reason is that the staff and clients are often nonplussed with ever-changing office furniture, as they prefer familiar surroundings for them to work in. Frequent furniture changes may also project instability to the whole company.
